Summary: Collection consists of Young's published memoirs "Recollections of My Era" (Corrales, N.M.: Pajarito Press, 1989), and documents involving the Old Santa Fe Association and efforts in the late 1950s and early 1960s to maintain and regulate historic architecture in Santa Fe. His memoirs cover 1913 to 1986 and contain a wealth of information on life in Santa Fe and several small towns in northern New Mexico in the 20th century. Collection also includes minutes of Santa Fe City Council meetings from 1960 and 1961: city ordinances from 1957 and 1959 regulating areas and structures in Santa Fe's "historic zone;" minutes of the Santa Fe City Planning Commission; and various letters involving the Old Santa Fe Association and historic preservation in Santa Fe.
